Our bags are packed, we're ready to go.

Inside my suitcase is a note from Mr. Batten, and a token of our appreciation for the hospitality being extended to us by GMS.

We are truly appreciative of the way GMS arranged for our travel to Suzhou, Nanjing, and Hangzhou while we wait for entry to Guilin. (Due to the Swine Flu pandemic the city of Guilin requires that foreign visitors must stay 6 days outside of the city before they are allowed to enter.)

We will see our friends in Guilin on June 22nd, and look forward to our time with you.
Parents, teachers and friends-follow our journey.
The adventure starts tomorrow.

GMS and CHS are SISTER SCHOOLS

Principal Kelly Batten reviews and signs an agreement between Guilin Middle School and Carrboro High School to "strengthen friendly relations, promote mutual learning in language and culture, and enhance educational cooperation" by declaring our schools "sister schools."
Tomorrow we leave for China!
